Andrew T. Weller, Ed.D., brings more than three decades of experience in independent education to A Reasonable Request. His work includes admissions leadership at a boarding school in the United States and another in Canada, where evaluating applicants meant considering both the young people who would join the community and the parents entering into a partnership with the school.
That experience informs the novel’s portrayal of professional judgment, family ambition, and the trust a school places in those who represent it.
His experience includes senior leadership roles at boarding and day schools, four years on the planning committee for the TABS/NAIS Global Symposium, and service as faculty chair of the Enrollment Management Association’s Admission Directors Institute.
He has served on the boards of East Bay School for Boys, Girard College, and the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra. He currently serves on the board of Orion Military Scholars.
